Tyrolean Hydrogen Drone Project was presented at the Austrian and Greek Hydrogen Valley Workshop at the Green Energy Center Europe in Innsbruck

TWINS GmbH together with FEN Research GmbH presented the Tyrolean Hydrogen Drone Project at the the Austrian and Greek Hydrogen Valley Workshop as part of the European project TRIĒRĒS held on 10 July 2024 at the Green Energy Center Europe in Innsbruck.

The TRIĒRĒS project aims to create a “Small Scale Hydrogen Valley” with geographical reference to Motor Oil Refinery of Ag. Theodoroi in Corinth. The collaboration with the national WIVA P&G HyWest Hydrogen Valley is planned through FEN Research, Codex partner and representative of the Green Energy Center Europe. This regional hydrogen valley will be used as a model for the development of a largely autonomous regional green hydrogen economy based on the logistics principle.

Bernd Lackner, project engineer at TWINS, presented the technical features of the lightweight hydrogen-powered drone prototype and Nikolaus Fleischhacker explained the investigated efficient and innovative hydrogen tank designs. The tank design research was presented in a poster session at the European Hydrogen Energy Conference 2024, 6-8 March 2024 in Bilbao, Spain, by Nick Kachelriess, research assistant at FEN Research.
