Take advantage of our interlinked mobility services.
As a result of our partnership research projects, future oriented mobility services are made available to the public at our Green Energy Centre Europe Campus. On this basis, the Codex partner FEN Systems has created Austria’s first privately organized ‘Multimodal Transport Hub’ (MMVK) which brings together many interlinked products and services and bridges the gap to future transportation for commercial customers or so-called “friendly users” at favorable prices.

Parking
You can park any vehicle (EV or non-EV) in the free parking and charging spaces marked with a green signal light for 80 cents per 30 minutes or park your vehicle at the daily rate of €7 per 24 hours.
The parking ticket and the required charging current (in the case that you own an EV) can be paid cashlessly with a debit card or credit card at the charging machine. No separate charging card or smartphone authorization is required for this.
Charging
If you own an electric vehicle it can be charged while you are parking with a maximum output of 11 kW or 22 kW (at the Type 2 charging points directly at the main charging terminal). The required amount of energy can be selected directly at the charging terminal. The price is 38 cents per kWh in addition to the cost of parking.
Are you considering purchasing an electric vehicle but don’t have a secure charging space at home? Then rent a “charging parking space” at the Green Energy Center. At times when you don’t need your “charging parking space”, you can make it available to short-term parkers and benefit from a reduced monthly rent.
Sharing
We share Battery Electric Vehicles and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles with employees, friendly users and reliable partners. Find out more in the Info Corner.
Educational site visits and driving sessions
For educational purposes we organize visits to Hydrogen facilities and production sites as well as test drives with pioneering vehicles. For more information please ask the team at the Info Corner.

What is a Multimodal Mobility Hub?
Parking, charging, commuting and paying as usual
At competitively low prices, you can park and/or charge your electric vehicle at any time and then change to the bus or tram on the spot to commute to the city centre or other destinations in the greater Innsbruck area. During your absence, your vehicle will be charged with a pre-determined amount of energy.
Payment can be made as usual by debit card or mobile phone at a standardised pay station, which is the same type as all the pay stations for parking & public transport in Innsbruck.
The Service is a result of the projects: MMVK https://www.klimafonds.gv.at/call/emob-betriebe2021, Urban Charge & Park,
Sharing vehicles, desks and rooms
Codex partners and so called “friendly users”, wich fulfill the Codex critereas can share Electric Cars (Battery electric vehicle) and Hydrogen Cars (Fuel Cell electric vehicles), Desks, Meeting and Seminar Rooms and other Equipment to low cometitively low prices at the campus of the Green Energy Center Europe in Innsbruck.
As part of the Codex Partnership is developing processes, projects and products, some of which are far ahead of their time. The comprehensive nature of the task requires a holistic view, which is why barrier-free accessible car parks with optional charging points, including the Info Corner for information processing, have been set up for the Sharing Vehicles, Facilities and Tools.
Sharing is an important socio-economic issue for the future, which is supported by the Codex Partnership in the area of applied process research. The Codex partners are striving to bring all kinds of sharing products, which are essential for the transformation of the energy system, to the campus of the Green Energy Center Europe and to the real economic environment. Bicycles, scooters and even cars with and without accessories are available to employees, associated partners and also so-called friendly users from a wide range of different areas of life and work. The experiences and findings collected and documented by the Info Corner at the Green Energy Centre will be used for research into
the whole Park, Charge & Share process.

- Obtain general information about the Codex Partnership of the Green Energy Centre Europe
- Get support in converting your own energy system to climate neutrality and autonomy
- Get support in converting your vehicle fleet to electric and hydrogen mobility
- Find out about the activities of the EWest and HyWest research centres
- Register for training courses
- Charge your own electric car at the “Urban Charge & Park” charging station
- Apply to become a ‘Friendly User’ for an electric or hydrogen car sharing vehicle
The Info Corner is usually open from Monday to Friday from 9am to 12pm and 1pm to 5pm (excluding public holidays).
A small part of the charging current already comes directly from our photovoltaic system, which is currently being expanded. We currently obtain most of the green electricity from the public grid.
With the two research laboratories “EWest” and “HyWest”, under the leadership of FEN Research, we are continuously working on the “Power in Demand” and the complementary “Power to Hydrogen” process in order to make the best possible use of our own resources for our own purposes. The findings and experiences from this result in projects that aim at climate neutrality and energy autonomy and are made accessible to real economic commercial and industrial processes under business plan conditions as part of the Codex partnership.

User Guide
Who can use the “Park & Charge” areas?
Everyone. Our goal is to democratize charging and parking of e-mobility in cities and make it accessible to everyone.
My vehicle is powered by fossil fuels. Can I still use the “Park & Charge” areas for parking?
Yes, the aim of the Urban Charge and Park project is to enable barrier-free access to charging infrastructure in urban areas. The decisive factor here is that the designated areas can be used equally by all road users.
Step 1: Parking
First, park your vehicle in one of the free charging-parking spaces (marked by green LEDs on top of the respective charging consoles). Remember the designated charging-parking space number. If you do not want to just park your car and not charge it, please go directly to “Step 3: Payment” below.
Step 2: Charging
If you also want to charge your car, please connect your vehicle to the charging point assigned to your current parking space using a charging device (Type 2 charging cable). If you do not have a charging cable with you, the staff at the Green Energy Center Info Corner can borrow you a cable.
Step 3: Payment
Go to the central payment machine and make the following selections on the terminal’s touchscreen:
-
- Select the appropriate charging parking space number.
- Set the parking duration.
- If you have connected a charging kit, select the desired amount of energy in kWh. A corresponding charging calculator can help you make the correct selection.
- Then click on “Pay” and accept the terms of use to continue with the payment. Pay with a debit or credit card. Cash payments are not possible.
- As soon as the payment is completed, a parking ticket will be printed. Optionally, you can also have a receipt printed out. Follow the instructions on the screen. You can also view the current charge level on your smartphone using a QR code on the receipt.
- Place the parking ticket behind your windshield.
- The optional charging process also begins. This is displayed on the touchscreen with “Charging Initialized”. The LED light at your parking spot should now change from green to blue. Your vehicle may also indicate that the charging process has started.
